Reports To: Sales Manager / Head of Sales
Position Summary:
The Assistant Sales Manager – Resort Sales will play a key role in managing and expanding the company’s sales operations within the resort segment. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with resort clients, driving sales growth, overseeing order processing and delivery coordination, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in B2B or resort sales within the FMCG or hospitality supply industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with resort clients across the Maldives.
Support the Sales Manager in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the resort segment.
Identify new business opportunities and potential resort accounts to increase market share.
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and promotional deals in coordination with the Sales Manager and Finance team.
Conduct regular client visits to understand customer needs, gather market intelligence, and promote new products.
Account Management:
Manage day-to-day resort sales operations, including order taking, invoicing coordination, and follow-up.
Ensure timely delivery of goods by coordinating closely with logistics, warehouse, and procurement teams.
Monitor client payment status and support collection activities as needed.
Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly to maintain a positive client experience.
Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, highlighting performance, key clients, and market trends.
Track sales performance against targets and recommend strategies for improvement.
Provide regular feedback to management on competitor activity, pricing, and product trends within the resort segment.
Team Coordination & Support:
Collaborate with the internal sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
Support product launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional activities targeting the resort market.
Mentor and guide junior sales representatives assigned to resort clients.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales within the FMCG, resort supply, or hospitality distribution sector.
Strong understanding of Maldives resort operations and procurement processes.
Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/sales systems.
Valid driving license will be an added advantage.
