Job Overview:
- The Society for Health Education (SHE) is seeking a dynamic, values-driven, and experienced professional to lead its Program Department as Director Program. This role involves providing strategic, technical, and operational leadership across SHE’s program portfolio. Salary Range: MRF 11,120.00 – 14,490.00 (will be determined based on qualification and experience). Work location: Not stated. Openings: Not stated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the Program Department.
- Align SHE’s program with organizational strategy and national priorities.
- Drive program innovation and adaptation to changing contexts.
- Supervise, mentor, and manage Program staff.
- Ensure systems and procedures within the Program Department are effective.
- Lead design and development of new program concepts and proposals.
- Support negotiation of grants in coordination with senior management.
- Ensure application of effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems.
- Promote evidence-based programming.
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and organizational policies.
- Oversee narrative and financial reporting with Finance and management.
- Monitor budgets, expenditures, and risks.
- Build relationships with government, donors, and partners.
- Represent SHE in relevant forums.
- Contribute to strategic planning and development.
- Uphold SHE’s values and commitments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in program leadership within NGOs or social sector institutions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing teams and donor-funded projects.
- Maldivian national.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Proven ability to supervise multiple programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel when required.
