Job Purpose:
To support the daily operations of the Human Resources department including recruitment, employee relations, documentation, payroll coordination, and compliance with local labor regulations. The HR Executive ensures HR functions run smoothly and efficiently across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
Prepare and maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and personal files.
Coordinate induction programs for new staff and facilitate training and development initiatives.
Maintain and monitor attendance records, leave management, and punctuality reports.
Assist in processing payroll and benefits in coordination with the finance department.
Handle employee queries related to HR policies, procedures, and entitlements.
Ensure company HR policies are followed and aligned with Maldivian Employment Act.
Prepare HR reports such as turnover, absenteeism, and recruitment statistics.
Support performance evaluation cycles and probation reviews.
Assist in disciplinary and grievance handling processes.
Ensure timely renewal of work permits and liaise with government offices (e.g., Immigration, Economic Ministry) for expatriate staff requirements.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
Good understanding of Maldives labor laws and HR best practices.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Fluent in English; Dhivehi is an added advantage.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Attributes:
Prior experience in the retail, hospitality, or trading sector in the Maldives.
Familiarity with visa/work permit procedures for expatriates.
Team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
