Job Overview:
- Society for Health Education (SHE) is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to support the diagnosis of Thalassemia and related haemoglobinopathies, involving routine analytical and administrative tasks in the laboratory.

- Salary: MRF 11,470.00 – 13,800.00 (determined based on qualification and experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine laboratory work for thalassemia screening, including phlebotomy and blood analysis.
- Participate in field trips and awareness programs as required.
- Provide genetic counselling to identified carriers and couples at risk.
- Conduct data entry for Thalassemia and update laboratory statistics.
- Ensure proper utilization and storage of laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate in-house training.
- Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and prepare reagents.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Phlebotomy Certificate required.
- Experience in a relevant field will be considered.
- Registration with Maldives Allied Health Council and licensed to work as a Laboratory Technologist.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Good analytical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and able to work in a team.
- Able to travel on occasions when required.
