Job Summary:
The Marketing & Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans and driving business growth through new client acquisition, brand development, and market expansion. This role focuses on enhancing product visibility, increasing market share, and identifying new opportunities in the highly competitive FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with business goals.
Plan and manage product launches, promotional events, and trade marketing initiatives.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Oversee digital marketing, social media, and advertising campaigns.
Manage brand positioning and ensure consistency across all marketing materials.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and channels.
Expand the company’s presence in untapped markets and regions.
Develop proposals and presentations for prospective clients and distributors.
Negotiate and close deals with key partners and accounts.
Sales & Distribution Support:
Work closely with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales goals.
Provide insights and materials to support field sales efforts and distributor engagement.
Monitor trade performance and recommend strategies for retail execution and in-store visibility.
Budgeting & Reporting:
Prepare and manage the marketing and business development budget.
Track ROI on campaigns and report performance metrics to senior management.
Analyze sales and marketing data to refine strategies and improve effectiveness.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of marketing executives and coordinators.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and supply chain teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
5–8 years of experience in marketing and/or business development, preferably in FMCG.
Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and revenue growth.
Strong knowledge of FMCG market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and retail operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
