Job Overview:
- Society for Health Education (SHE) is seeking a Programme Officer – Communication to enhance its visibility through effective communication strategies. The role involves media relations, content development, and oversight of digital outreach. Location: Not stated. Openings: Not stated. Salary: MRF 8,680.00 – 11,120.00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication strategy.
- Ensure brand consistency across materials.
- Prepare key messaging for leadership.
- Monitor public image and crisis communication.
- Lead content development for newsletters and social media.
- Manage SHE’s social media platforms.
- Oversee production of multimedia content.
- Regularly update the SHE website.
- Support fundraising and donor engagement.
- Collaborate with programme teams to showcase impact.
- Engage members and volunteers.
- Provide support for internal events.
- Train SHE staff on communication and media engagement.
- Create advocacy materials.
- Develop campaigns and reports for donors.
- Maintain relationships with existing donors.
- Develop partnership proposals.
- Plan public fundraising campaigns.
- Undertake other tasks assigned by Director.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in strategic communication or media relations.
- Experience in non-profit, health, or social development preferred.
- Proven record of successful communication campaigns.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Strong experience in copywriting and content editing.
- Ability to manage multimedia content.
- Fluency in English and Dhivehi.
- Highly proactive and innovative.
- Strong ability to handle multiple projects.
- Commitment to SHE’s mission in health education.
- Experience in fundraising communications.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends when required.
