Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Officer to support the procurement function by sourcing quality products, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Source products and suppliers based on company requirements
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for cost-effectiveness and quality
• Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
• Track purchase orders from placement through to delivery
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding shipping schedules and delivery status
• Resolve issues related to delayed, damaged, or incorrect deliveries
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and update the vendor database
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and update procurement systems
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing documentation
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office and purchasing or ERP software
• Knowledge of vendor management, inventory control, and procurement best practices
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
