1. Position Summary
The Sales Manager – Resort Sales is responsible for managing, developing, and expanding the FMCG product portfolio across Maldives resorts and hotels. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, increasing sales volume, ensuring product visibility, and achieving revenue targets. The manager will work closely with key resort accounts, distributors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and superior customer satisfaction.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute sales strategies to grow FMCG sales within the resort segment.
Identify potential resort clients and actively pursue new business opportunities.
Maintain and expand relationships with resort purchasing managers, chefs, F&B managers, and procurement teams.
Conduct regular sales visits to resort accounts across atolls.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
B. Account Management
Manage key resort accounts and ensure timely response to client requirements.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and supply contracts for resort clients.
Monitor product performance and recommend promotions or product mix improvements.
Handle order processing, delivery follow-up, and ensure service quality expectations are met.
C. Market & Competitor Analysis
Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market activities.
Identify market trends and provide recommendations to management.
Analyse sales data to improve product distribution and visibility in the resort sector.
D. Operational Coordination
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and inventory teams to ensure product availability.
Work with finance/credit control to manage client credit limits and timely payment collections.
Ensure all documentation, sales reports, and client records are accurate and updated.
E. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain excellent relationships with existing partners and strengthen long-term collaborations.
Organize product presentations, sampling sessions, and brand awareness activities for resort clients.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of FMCG products and resort procurement processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong client relationship-building ability.
Goal-oriented with proven sales achievements.
Good analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to travel frequently to resorts.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools.
4. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in the Maldives resort sector.
Experience in managing key accounts and achieving sales targets is essential.
Valid driving licence is an added advantage.
